I dedicate this site to my beloved Layla (the best dog ever!) Unfortunately, our pets are only angels on loan from heaven. They are with us when we need them the most, then they must move on to spread love elsewhere. I am blessed to share in all these precious pet stories. It brings me immense joy to invoke their spirits with paint.

Meet Ted

Painting of cockapoo on boat deck

Hi I'm Ted. I'm an 8 month old Cockapoo and am currently running my household! I'm already bringing love and happiness to my family with my zoomies, toys and endless cuddles. I especially love going for boat rides on Callandar Bay with my perfect family.

Meet Muddy

Don't let this portrait fool you, Muddy is a very docile house cat whose favorite pastime is of course, sleeping. However as a kitten, this guy had a fighting spirit. Found at a tractor-trailer pulling event this survivor was found by his now owner, caked in mud and clinging to life, hence his name. That's why I decided to bring his character to life by letting him claw his way out of the dark on this 16 x 20 larger-than-life portrait.

Timeless Heirloom

Meet James

James is a 3 year old Abyssinian cat. Although he gives the impression of being a wild cougar, James is a docile but highly active city boy who enjoys wall climbing, walks through the city on his harness, and car rides out to the country. He has an air of sophistication that leaves an impression where ever he goes.

Meet Casey

A painting of a black and white tuxedo cat stretched out on a couch.

Casey is the original posh pet in his formal tuxedo garb on a 12 x 24" canvas. Even at 16 years old, he knows how to manipulate humans in his presence with his green-eyed stare and demanding voice, feigning helplessness to warrant snuggle sessions and extra treats!

Artistic Expertise

Verna's artistic expertise and attention to detail result in stunning pet portraits that evoke the true spirit of your furry companion. (Even when they're being goofy).

No judgment here, our pets make us laugh, and I enjoy capturing those special times. Hopefully, it will bring joy to the viewer every time they see it.

Meet Nash

Nash is living the good life in Gatineau, Quebec. His current owners quickly fell in love with his laid-back, friendly style when they adopted this senior guy when his elderly human became ill and was no longer able to care for him. After capturing him in a not-so-flattering pose as a joke, another more serious portrait was commissioned as a gift for his original owner who still holds a special place for him in her heart.

Customer Satisfaction

"A pet portrait is not a replica of your photo. The background, pose, and expression of your pet will be an artistic expression. My commitment to customer satisfaction means that I strive to exceed your expectations, delivering a portrait that captures the unique personality of your pet." V.Valliere

Based on Original Photos

I can combine multiple photos to ensure that your pet's individuality and essence shine through in the portrait, creating a true likeness that you can cherish forever.

Meet
Aspen & Lola

Aspen, a loveable goofball originally came from Moosonee. She is a tenacious chipmunk hunter and ball fetcher. She misses Lola (her puppy) dearly who was sadly taken from us too soon. Lola's exuberant spirit lives on, bringing us joy each time we see her sweet brown eyes. Since the two were a pair in life, I mirrored Lola's image to match Aspen's pose so that they can be displayed together in perpetuity.
